Appointed by President Obama in 2008 to the Office of Faith-based and Neighbourhood Partnerships and later directing faith outreach for the president’s 2012 re-election campaign, Michael Wear knows about the nexus of faith and politics like no-one else.

Timed to coincide with the publication of his book Reclaiming Hope - described as “an unvarnished account of faith inside the world’s most powerful office” – Michael spoke at Theos on 27th February, offering a unique perspective on what impact faith did and didn’t have during the Obama years, and where American religion is going now.
