When a convicted murderer applied to be a minister in the Scottish Church, it divided the institution and challenged its most basic beliefs. When a man is lost in the early hours of Shrove Tuesday, is it murder, suicide or accident? In conversation with Theos Think–Tank director Elizabeth Oldfield, writer and critic Stuart Kelly (The Minister and The Murderer) and author Samantha Harvey (The Western Wind) will explore themes of truth, faith and forgiveness in their work.
