Archbishop of Canterbury speaks out against pressures of big-spending Christmas

The Archbishop of Canterbury has spoken out against the pressures of big-spending at Christmas time.

Justin Welby says an expensive outlay can ruin the holiday, saying the Christian bit of Christmas is not what gets people into debt.

He made the comments in an interview due to be aired on ITV tomorrow evening.

We discussed the comments with broadcaster James Max and Elizabeth Oldfield, the director of the religious thinktank Theos.
